Dry needling to be discussed at next Board Meeting on March 11, 2010

From time to time the Board revisits its positions on practice issues. The Board has had several requests to revisit its position on dry needling, which was originally adopted in 2002. At that time, the Board did not feel that dry needling was in the scope of practice for physical therapists in North Carolina. The Board will revisit this position at its next meeting on March 11, 2010 at the Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill, NC (directions - http://www.sienahotel.com/ ). It will be discussed at 2:30 pm.
